Medical Supply Donations
Here is a list of our most needed supplies that will have the greatest impact at saving lives in Latin America. Private-home donors please drop off items at the address below (we can pick up beds) during normal business hours. VIDA is in need of non-expired 18 month Life Span supplies used in the provision of basic primary health care, including:
- Bandages, gauze, cotton
- Blood pressure equipment
- Dental or ophthalmology chairs
- Disinfectants
- Disabled and elderly equipment: wheelchairs, walkers (foldable), crutches and canes
- Exam & physical therapy tables,
operating tables - First aid kits
- Gloves
- Hospital or surgical masks
- Hospital beds & gurneys, stretchers, cots
- Iodine
- Medical equipment—
small/portable: pulse oxymeters, defibrillators, incubators, endoscopy, ultrasound, anesthesia, ECG & dialysis machines, etc. - Orthopedic supplies—braces, prosthetics
- Skin treatments— including
anti-fungal or antibacterial cremes, powders, and lotions - Soap, shampoo
- Stethoscopes
- Surgical supplies—
including sutures - Syringes & needles
- Tongue depressors
- Thermometers
For headquarters VIDA needs:
- Computers
- Computer Paper
- Pallet Jack (manual or electric)
We cannot accept:
- Commodes
- Shower chairs
- Gerri chairs (clinical recliners)

- internal fluids
- clothing
Financial Contributions

For every dollar donated, VIDA is able to provide $150 in medical aid to people in need in Latin America.

Sponsor a Container (minimum 6 k)
Participate in VIDA's Sponsor A container Program whereby Corporations and individuals are given the opportunity to help communities by making a financial contribution equivalent to the costs of shipping a 40 foot container to anywhere in Latin America. VIDA will provide the donating company an accounting for the distribution of the container's contents and its impact on recipient organizations and communities.
Volunteer
VIDA would not have the impact it does or even exist without the support of our volunteers.

Corporations
Donate medicine, medical supplies or professional services. If your company has medical supplies or other resources you feel would benefit VIDA’s work, please review our list of most needed supplies and give us a call. Or, participate in VIDA’s Sponsor A Container Program whereby corporations are given the opportunity to help communities by making a financial contribution equivalent to the costs of shipping a 40 foot container to Latin America. VIDA will provide the company a biography accounting for the distribution of the container’s contents its impact on recipient organizations and communities.
Create an Estate Plan
A new partnership with Valla & Associates, Inc., P.C., a law firm in Walnut Creek, California, is available to assist the friends of VIDA with their estate planning needs. They will work with you to create or revise your estate plan so that your assets will be distributed according to your wishes, without time-consuming and costly court proceedings, and to minimize your estate's exposure to estate taxes. For every new estate plan created for the friends of VIDA, Valla & Associates, Inc., P.C., has agreed to make a substantial cash contribution to VIDA.
